Woo a community just for mad Broadway fiends. Well I loooove Broadway. I maintain a lifelong obsession with Chicago and Phantom...but my friends finally corrupted me and got me into Rent a couple of months ago. Now I am madly in love with Adam Pascal. Saw the film Phantom a while ago, loved it. Other favourites...everything? On a trip to New York a few years ago I managed to catch Chicago starring Kevin Richardson...twas an interesting experience. I didn't get to see Lea Salonga in Flower Drum Song though, only so much time and money in one week. And such. I did catch Les Mis before it *sniff* left the Great White Way. Am anxiously awaiting the Producers film. Anyone else feel the same?

Hey, guys!

Listen, this morning I posted one of those lyric memes on my journal, y'know where you post lyrics from the first so many songs that come up on shuffle and they have to guess what the song is? Well my flist is useless because most of the songs are from musicals they've probably never heard of. So hop on over and give them a hand, here!

Hi, my name is Erin and I'm new here.

I love musicals so so much. My favorites include, but are not limited to: Annie, Annie Get Your Gun, Gypsy, Beauty and the Beast, Sweeney Todd, Finian's Rainbow, The Sound of Music, and The King & I.

Bernadette Peters is my idol and I've seen her in both AGYG and Gypsy. I seriously cried when she first walked up onto the stage in Gypsy.

I also loooove the music from How to Succeed..., Rent, Phantom of the Opera, Sunday in the Park With George, and Mame.

So...hi!

i started work in the costume shop today. it was really cool. i got down there and Becky gave me a tour of the shop. I then began putting away the old costumes that this girl was sorting. When i got done with that, i sewed a snap on a blouse and then 10 snaps on a corset for quick changing. by the time i got all that done, two hours had passed and they were done with me for the day. i am thinking about going back tomorrow. i had a hoot. God is showing me that I am heading in the right direction.

I just found the book "Wicked" yesterday at Target for $13. I haven't been able to put it down. It is not as "g" rated as the musical. it curses and talks about sex. this was kind of a surprise to me. but man the book is good. i highly recommend it if you can get your hands on it.
